RICICLANTICA
The eco-tech kitchen
“For years I have been looking for a philosophy of forms capable of representing Man in the 2000s, regardless of passing fads; a stable philosophy that isn’t subject to continuously changing colors, lines and surfaces. I think this philosophy – which should become the foundation of the design and architecture of the third millennium – should be based on the dematerialization of products visually expressed by representing Flight and Lightness”
With these words, designer Gabriele Centazzo expresses the strong philosophical basis of the Riciclantica® collection – dematerialization. Riciclantica stands for “lightness and resilience”: the lightest door in the world, only 2 mm thick, fits into an aluminum structure that is water, steam, and heat resistant. This construction saves up to 85 percent of material compared to a traditional 2 cm door.
Due to the remarkable reduction of materials used, combined with eco-tech finishes, this kitchen is sustainable yet innovative, designed for those who pay a great deal of attention to their well-being and to live in harmony with nature. A sustainable yet innovative kitchen is Riciclantica.
PATENTED DOOR TECHNOLOGY
Valcucine was the first company in the world to present a total renovation in door design, a perfect synthesis of aesthetic sense, formal simplicity and technical intelligence.
This structure ensures a soft and light closure, high water resistance and an extraordinary lightness that promotes a longer life of the hinges.
STRUCTURAL FRAME MADE OF ANODIZED ALUMINUM
The frame is made entirely of anodized aluminum, assembled through strong mechanical joints, 100% recyclable at the end of its life.
The aluminum is protected through an anodic oxidation treatment that makes the surface layers resistant to scratches and corrosion.
Thanks to extensive studies and special processing, the frame is not visible from the outside; thus the aesthetic panel appears as a pure, unpaired mass. A solution that expresses great formal cleanliness without neglecting the functional aspect.
SILICONE RUBBER GASKET
The gasket functions as a bumper, dust cover and drip saver.
Silicone rubber is a non-toxic, hypoallergenic, heat-resistant and fully recyclable material widely used in the food and medical industries. Silicone materials have excellent thermal stability and high resistance to UV and atmospheric aging.

Design Philosophy
The fundamental assumptions of Riciclantica are the concepts of flight and lightness, fittingly represented by specific constructive parts. In addition to the 2 mm thick door, Riciclantica features a grip recess that cuts across base unit surfaces, highlighting our search for the ultimate in dematerialization and making the extreme slimness of the door clearly perceivable.
Its lightness is enhanced by a targeted use of materials selected for their ability to cover doors, tops and end panels with a coating just a few millimeters thick while also guaranteeing excellent resistance. These kitchens can also be completed by Special Elements such as our Aerius wall-hung system, our shelving units and our Floor to- ceiling system which – thanks to their floating, upward-sweeping design – enhance freedom of movement and visual clarity.
